That`s me, Myriam

To travel the world, immerse myself in foreign cultures and meet new people – this longing has been with me all my life.  Before starting a family, I therefore grabbed every opportunity to stop wherever my curiosity took me. 
My professional career took me through the hotel industry, into business administration and on top mastering a university degree in environmental sciences.  After a few deviations, I was lucky enough to arrive in Freiburg in 2010 and get to know and love this city.
So I decided to turn the tables and invite the world “home” to me. Because there are so many wonderful things to discover here.

This is my Story

I have been working in the field of education for sustainable development for several years now in the form of seminars and workshops as well as guided tours for international technical visitor groups. Now I want to welcome tourists and bring them around in Freiburg. There is so much to see!  Thanks to my language skills in English, French, Spanish and Italian, I am always happy to welcome guests from abroad who want to get to know the “green” side of Freiburg with me!

What green travel means to us

All our tours are designed to minimize the negative impacts on the environment, society, and the economy. We put the focus on balancing the enjoyment of travel experiences with efforts to preserve the planet and support local communities.

Eco-friendly Transportation
Opting for trains and buses and chosing cycling or walking for short distances. You can consider carbon-offsetting in case of flying.
Green Accomodation
Looking for hotels and establishments that consider green practices such as energy saving devices and regional organic food in their kitchen.
Supporting Local Economy
Purchasing goods and services from local businesses to help the local economy and reduce the carbon footprint associated with transporting products.
Minimizing Waste
Pack light with reusable items if possible. Be sure to dispose your waste properly.
Conservation of natural and cultural resources
Sticking to designated trails to not disturb wildlife. Being mindful of local customs, and traditions plus avoiding practices that exploit or harm cultural heritage.
